TYPO3 search, which is based on the OpenSource search engine htdigs.
Description
The extension TYPO3 et_htdig allows to integrate a search in a TYPO3 web page. Supported on the OpenSource engine htdigs the extension allows many filtering possibilities, the indexation of more than one web page, assessment of the search results, search in documents and showing the search results in different forms.
Therefore a complicated search form can be shown on the web page to search, e.g., big archives, however, besides, it is to possible to integrate a quick search with only an input field. You can design the search form via a HTML template.
Before the search engine works the TYPO3 website have to be indexed. That results a higher performance.
The indexation happens through the TYPO3 backend while adding a configuration. Within this configuration has filtering possibilities, for example the maximum document size that can be indexed. By adding more configurations it is again possible to place several searches on a TYPO3 web page with complete different indexes (web pages).
To be able to test the extension, it provides own test dates. That means after the extension is installed, it can be tested through T3unit whether the search works correctly.
